Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. Those six answers are enough for the system to return carrier rates. Your name, address and detailed health information are only collected if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are the rates each carrier quotes for the health category you selected. The carrier confirms the final premium and health classification after underwriting, which may improve or adjust the class. Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance or a guaranteed price.

What happens when I click Apply?

Selecting Apply opens a secure online application that continues on the carriers' platform, pre-filled with the answers you gave here. You can pause and resume at any time, and everything is handled electronically. The application is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on which carrier you choose, the amount of coverage, and your answers to the health questions. Many carriers now offer accelerated underwriting for eligible applicants without requiring an exam. Each quote you see indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed.

Is a longer term better?

A term should cover the years when someone would be seriously hurt by your death: a mortgage balance, children at home, or business obligations. Longer terms cost more per month but guarantee your rate for a longer period. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't collect your contact information, we don't sell or share your data, and our measurement uses no cookies. Visit our privacy page for a complete list of what information is collected and by whom.
